National Policy For Exploitation Of Coal Rejects

Will the Minister of COALbe pleased to state :- (a) whether Government has any national policy for exploitation of coal rejects (washery rejects);
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) if not, the reasons therefor; and
(d) by when such a policy would be implemented?
ANSWER
MINISTER OF STATE (INDEPENDENT CHARGE) IN THE MINISTRY OF COAL AND MINISTER OF STATE (INDEPENDENT CHARGE) IN THE MINISTRY OF STATISTICS & PROGRAMME IMPLEMENTATION (SHRI SRIPRAKASH JAISWAL)
(a) to (d): No national policy for exploitation of coal rejects has been framed by the Government. However, the formulation of policy on disposal of surplus coal, by-products and middlings/rejects from captive blocks is under consideration of the Government.
